VTC Nghe An - Turnkey News and Production Centre

Danmon Systems Group A/S designed, constructed, delivered and commissioned a complete turnkey digital television news and production centre for Vietnamese broadcaster Radio & Television in province.

The system was designed around a content server with central storage, vision and sound control, continuity, transmission control, and seven non-linear edit suites. Equipment selected included nine Ikegami DNS camcorders with Fujinon lenses, Leitch Nexio servers, and Sony IMX studio VTRs. Routing is via Thomson Concerto 64 x 64 SDI and audio matrices operated from a Thomson Jupiter controller. A Thomson Saturn was selected for master control and continuity switching. Subsidiary equipment included Leitch glue, Tektronix signal analysers, Barco and Panasonic picture monitors, a Yamaha audio mixer and Trilogy intercom. Technical furniture and monitor walls were to Danmon's own design and fabrication.

The complete system was integrated and tested at Danmon Systems Group's engineering facility in Denmark. A factory acceptance test was then made, followed by a Bureau Veritas pre-shipment report. The system was then disassembled, packed in containers and shipped to Vietnam where the final re-assembly and installation was carried out.

Extensive on-site technical training and specialised journalistic training were also provided.
