Editshare names Danmon Asia as distributor for Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar

Nyhedstekst:
Hanoi, Vietnam, 14 March 2013: Danmon Asia announces its appointment as distributor for the entire product range from EditShare. This includes ingest, asset management, shared storage, editing, playout, archive and recovery.

"EditShare's systems allow programme-makers, post-production companies, broadcasters, independent studios and transmission service providers to operate collaboratively in a highly efficient file-based workflow," states Robert Rosenberg, Managing Director of Danmon Asia. "Their technology offers enormous advantages over traditional tape-based systems. It is easier to use, enables two or more people to access a file at the same time and reduces the risk of a tape being mislaid on its way to or from a storage library. File-based editing is also ideal for modern camcorders, D-SLR cameras and mobile phone cameras, all of which capture video and audio as a data file straight to solid-state memory. The cost-savings compared with tape also make EditShare's products highly attractive in any market."

"EditShare has partnered successfully with Danmon in Europe and is very pleased to be extending this relationship into Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar," adds Damian Miles, Managing Director of EditShare Asia Pacific. "Robert Rosenberg and his colleagues have very good experience of our technology and its capabilities. They understand the specific needs of the region and are ideally located to serve this market."

EditShare's product range includes Complete Collaboration, an end-to-end suite of media management solutions comprising production asset management, project-sharing storage, and archiving. In 2009, EditShare acquired Lightworks and Geevs, expanding its Complete Collaboration product line to include non-linear editing and playout automation. In 2010, EditShare announced Lightworks Open Source, the industry’s first large-scale open source program for a non-linear editing application.
